ALLERDALE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. 16/10/2016

Warm up is 8.30am for 9.30am start and 1.30 pm for a 2.30 pm start – we should be completed by around 4.30 pm.

As you are all aware this is the first joint club championships we have organised and we have the benefit that we have been granted a level 3 license- this enables times to be registered for entries into level 1 & 2 meets as well as county & regional competitions. We have managed to complete this for a reduced entry fee of £5 per child!( rather than £5 per swim) .
There will be a spectator entrance fee of £5 for the day or £3 per session.( children free of charge) We will also be holding a raffle and there will be a cake stall ( all contributions great fully received).
There will be tea & coffee and soft drinks and snacks available for purchase on the day. Any monies we make form the above on the day will be split equally between the 2 clubs to ensure that neither club is out of pocket with regards to pool hire costs.

This will be run as a proper meet at level 3 and has taken a huge amount of organising to ensure we comply to ASA rules & guidelines. We have had a good response to the number of people volunteering their help and this is greatly appreciated.

After the gala is completed we have to return the pool to the standard we found it hence it takes an awful lot of time to put all the equipment away, blocks and lane ropes etc etc! Along with cleaning up the rubbish etc off poolside. We will need help from both clubs, coaches, parents etc to do this , if anyone is prepared to help with this please let us know as many hands make light work.

The entries will be available to check on the club notice board tomorrow night- please check these and let me know by Wednesday evening at the latest if there are any errors!

That only leaves me to say that I really hope that all the children swim well and it is a really enjoyable day for everyone.
